"Emotion and happy memories tied up in a picture"

"My shoot with Matthew was a very special occasion. My horse Mac had been taken seriously ill the year before, and I wanted these photos to be a celebration of his return to good health. Matthew has a real affinity with horses and he photographed Mac and I in a very natural setting, just interacting as we would normally do. The result was that Mac was very relaxed and not bothered at all about what was going on around him. He relished being the centre of attention!

As Matthew had taken the time to quietly observe Mac and to listen very carefully to his story, the 30 or so photos he selected for the viewing were just amazing. I had no idea what they were going to be like, but I was blown away. I was with Matthew for over 3 hours as I was finding it difficult to narrow down my choices, but he helped me work through several scenarios and combinations of photos. I drove away really happy with the choices I made. When the framed pictures and canvases arrived I was really delighted with the exceptionally high standard - they are immaculate. I am sitting in my lounge writing this, looking at a canvas of Mac on my wall. There is a lot of emotion and happy memories tied up in that picture - which is exactly what I wanted.
